MUNAÉ – The National Museum of Education
opens its collections

The National Museum of Education website is a wide-ranging catalogue and image base covering the history of education and the history of childhood. It enables users to explore its partly digitized collections online and access the heritage and documentary information that accompanies the objects and documents. To take your visit a step further, you may consult the collections at the museum’s resource centre in Rouen or visit the exhibition centre.
Four ways to find out about our collections:

  • Search the MUNAE‘s catalogue online coring the history of childhood and adolescence from the 15th century to the present day. (heritage and documentary information, partially illustrated)
  • Open a personal account to have access to one or more shopping baskets and consult the collections in our reading room, within 48hours , at the MUNAE’s resource centre at 6, rue de Bihorel, 76000, Rouen (open from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday)
  • Feel free to contact a staff member for any question related to education heritage at : munae-documentation@reseau-canope.fr
  • And of course, follow us to get the latest news and visit the exhibition centre to discover our permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Enjoy your visit!
